Sales Executive
Dealing with clients who have unrealistic expectations. They often want to see properties that are way outside their budget or have a list of demands that are difficult to meet in their desired area. It can be challenging to manage their expectations while still trying to find solutions that make them happy. Sometimes, despite all my efforts, clients end up disappointed, which can be really disheartening. It feels like I'm constantly balancing their dreams with the reality of the market.

The biggest pain point we see today is the silos in supporting health care as a whole. Each department in a single health system can be so disparate from the other that it makes supporting the continuum of care more difficult than it should be. It also makes the support of each department from a technology department even more difficult.

My biggest issue is that I rely on clients providing me with their tax paperwork in order to prepare their returns. They often procrastinate or have trouble locating the documents resulting in a backlog of returns that need to be prepared last minute before the due date.

I own a medical billing company that provides medical billing to private practice physicians. The amount of technology that has become available has only increased the workload. I feel that I spend more time responding to error that the mega billing software has than having the time to actually get the claims paid.

Reimbursement rates are for untimed codes, which puts pressure on us to provide services in less than 30 minutes.

Lack of funding for properly staffing and organizing cyber security over the 3.2 billion dollar industry. Senior leadership does not understand, yet portrays to the board their opinions without permitting the leaders to share thoughts, recommendations, and observations.

Charting is always my pain point. I wish that there were better charting softwares designed around acupuncture professionals so that I could chart more efficiently and effectively. Especially for notating acupuncture points used in session. My other complaint is the struggle for getting paid for acupuncture via insurance. It always feels like a battle and justification for care. I don’t think this is unique to acupuncture, but it really feels like insurance works in every way AGAINST people, both providers and clients.

Scheduler
I have such a problem with my industry not paying workers what they are worth. This is why they have such shortages in doctors, nurses, etc. It makes my job harder as a patient scheduler to have to hear the patients complain about not being able to see a doctor or get a new doctor but they are paying an arm and a leg for healthcare...

Speech Therapist
As a former school speech therapist, I find Epic more user-friendly than other programs. Our outdated Medicaid billing and progress monitoring systems cause double documentation, affecting many therapists and social workers. We need: 1. A system combining progress monitoring and Medicaid billing. 2. Automatic import of progress into IEPs. 3. Automated reminders and email updates for parents.

I work in a hospital as a CCT and I can't get the smell off of me. It's some mix of the nitrile gloves and hand sanitizer and general bodily fluid smell even though I always double glove and gown while cleaning patients. I thought the sanitizer was getting under my nails but I've been cleaning my hands like crazy and washing every square inch of my body but it won't go away. It sucks when I'm trying to sleep and randomly get a whiff of some hospital stench. Any tips?

Resident
I'm officially done with the AMA. We have major problems in medicine today, private equity buying up health groups and pillaging them, abusive working conditions for residents while mid-levels with online degrees make twice their salary, and increasing corporatization reducing physician autonomy. But what does the AMA focus on? An article titled "How the Use of BMI Fetishizes White Embodiment and Racializes Fat Phobia." These are not serious people. I'm not giving them another cent. Someone needs to start an organization that actually addresses patient care and macro-level healthcare problems.

Why is EHR software so bad? Every time I interact with EHR systems during my rotations, I'm baffled by how clunky and unintuitive they are. It feels like these systems were designed in the 90s and never updated. EHRs seem to make our jobs harder instead of easier, taking away from patient care as we wrestle with outdated software. The interoperability issues are the worst, it's 2024, and we’re still faxing documents because different systems can't communicate seamlessly. Is it the vendors, the hospitals, or the regulations causing this mess? I'd love to hear insights or horror stories from those who've dealt with this longer. Maybe even some success stories if they exist!

Our biggest problem is our workflow. We struggle to get everyone on the same page, share information, understand expectations, and work as a cohesive team. Instead, people do their own thing, which causes no one to communicate and things getting overlooked.

When you change phone numbers, there is no easy way to find out what accounts/websites/apps your number is linked to for two factor authentication. Wish there was way to find this out rather than manually checking any of the sites you use.
Dónall
There is no easy way to compare pricing for healthcare equipment of any kind. If you want to compare you need to go on each site and check for yourself. I wish there was a way for it all to be in one place.
Shloimy
There is no easy way to find contacts, it’s all through friends or chats, if there was a system that had everything from vendors, recruiters, staffing agencies, etc. That would make the whole process a lot more seamless.
Developer
Hey, how do you deal with developers who aren't responsive out on Slack? It's been really frustrating for me lately. I'm often the one handling alerts, PR requests, and conversations by myself while others aren't responding. Hours go by in the workday and people aren't responding to my pings. Builds are broken, and I'm the only one reviewing PRs. I know it's a culture thing and an expectation that should be set by management but I don't really have any control or influence there.

You know, I've been noticing a really interesting trend lately. Freelancers seem to be thriving while those looking for in-house positions are having a tough time. It's surprising because freelancing used to be considered riskier, but now it's like companies prefer it. Maybe it's because they see freelancers as a more affordable option. It's frustrating seeing companies respond to freelancers but not giving a chance to so many applying for in-house roles. Do you think the job market's just gone a bit crazy?

Nurse
Staffing shortages are a major issue for nurses. When our units are short staffed, it means each nurse has to take on a heavier workload. We end up feeling stretched thin, rushing from one patient to another, and struggling to give each person the attention and care they need. This needs to be fixed.

I want to create print on demand clothing and accessories but there are millions like me. How do I find something meaningful in this market? I so want to target office goers because they have been ignored by the fashion industry so much. People who work from offices need cool designs and clothes but they need to be professional looking and non offensive.

I'm a Co-founder of a travel website for award bookings. My problem is more PR related. Even though our site is faster than all the other sites at searching for points flights, and has features that no other sites have. We still can't get high reaching PR. No Journalists or editors care about special features nowadays. Can anyone help?

Hi, I'm helping doctors with their social media ads and thinking about adding a basic CRM service. My plan is to send personalized reminders to patients using the doctor's client database. Do you think Mailchimp is the right tool for this? Any ideas on what other services I could offer?

This cyberattack disrupting insurance processing at pharmacies is causing chaos for healthcare businesses. Patients are being forced to pay out of pocket for critical care because insurance claims aren't going through. It's not just affecting one pharmacy, it's a widespread issue impacting multiple states. How can I ensure patient care isn't compromised while dealing with cyber threats?
